This chart of Border Patrol migrant encounters in the Yuma Sector since October 2019 shows numbers extremely low, and predominantly Mexican, until January-February 2021 when they start to rise. At first, heavily Cuban and Brazilian. Then, by fall 2021, Cuban and Venezuelan. Then, by early 2022, Cuban and Colombian. Then, by summer 2022, Cuban and Peruvian. Numbers have been lower in 2023 and heavily Peruvian, Ecuadorian, and "Other Countries."

This chart of migrants who end up in Border Patrol custody in the agency’s Yuma sector (western Arizona and eastern California border) looks wrong, like I messed something up. But I assure you it’s correct.
