2003 aid request [Versión en español]: On February 4, 2002, the Bush administration submitted to Congress its budget request for 2003, including a substantial increase in aid to the Andean region, especially Colombia.

Supplemental aid for 2002: Congress has approved the Bush administration's request for an "emergency supplemental" appropriation. This bill that includes several provisions relevant to Colombia, including one that would expand the mission of U.S. military assistance beyond counternarcotics.
