Unless I’m missing something, this is my first workday with a clear calendar since January 3rd. (Though I may sit in on a Venezuela event at WOLA this morning, and there’s another Homeland hearing in the Senate in the afternoon.) Oddly enough, I’m not rushing to meet a deadline today, either.

This is an opportunity to dust off lists of projects and ideas that I haven’t had a chance to look at in several weeks, to comb through government reports and colleagues’ research that I haven’t had a chance to read, and to schedule some meetings with staffers, officials, and colleagues I’ve been out of touch with. Should be a nice day.
